When are auditions?
Auditions typically start on the second week of the Fall semester. Registration for auditions opens on the Monday before the start of the Fall semester each year and can be found at circus.fsu.edu/join.
Where are auditions?
All auditions begin in the hut, which is the warehouse on the South side of the Haskin Circus Complex. The door to the hut can be found at the end of the boardwalk on the East side of the building, which faces the band field.
Can I sign up for multiple auditions?
Candidates can sign up for one of each audition type (circus act, dance, and ringmaster). It is possible to be cast on multiple roles, though this is limited to two roles in a cast member’s first year, and three to four roles after their first year depending on summer participation.
Can I apply for multiple production teams?
Yes, however, because of the time commitment overlap in our shows, we generally do not put students on both the Creative (hair, makeup, costuming) and Tech (sound, lighting, and stage management) teams in the same year.
I signed up for the wrong session/need to change my registration, how do I do that?

Who can audition/Who can apply for production?
Any fully admitted, current FSU student, provided that they are paying the Student Activities Fee with tuition. Candidates must be current students as of the Fall semester of auditions.
I am in Seminole Pathways, ASPIRE, or FSU Next. Can I audition/apply?
Not until the first Fall semester after you have completed the program you are in and have been fully admitted to FSU. If you are in one of these programs in the Fall, and complete it and are admitted by the Spring, you would need to wait until the following Fall semester to audition or apply for a production team. To be able to join circus, you must be eligible in the Fall semester of that year.
I am in High School Dual Enrollment. Can I audition/apply.
No, dual enrollment students are not eligible to participate.
Can I join circus in the Spring?
No, due to our training schedule, we are only able to hold auditions in the Fall.
